Eyewear Cafe is a small online eyewear shop run from Thane, Maharashtra. We stock ready-made sunglasses, blue-light glasses, readers and clear-lens frames — and we say plainly what each one is before you buy it.
Our mission & vision
Our mission is narrow on purpose: make one honest pair of everyday eyewear easy to choose, easy to pay for, and easy to send back if it does not suit your face. Most eyewear pages online read like a lens-technology brochure. Ours is meant to read like a shop counter — this is the frame width, this is the lens, this is what it will not do.
The longer vision is that a customer in a Tier-2 city gets the same clarity a customer in Mumbai gets: the same delivery window written down, the same 7 days to change their mind, the same person answering the email.
How this shop started
The shop began with a very ordinary problem. Anyone who spends the day switching between a laptop, a phone and an afternoon walk ends up owning three pairs of glasses and losing at least two of them. Buying replacements meant either a showroom trip during working hours or an online listing that described a ₹700 frame in the language of a ₹7,000 one.
So we built the opposite of that listing. Eyewear Cafe carries a deliberately short catalogue of frames we can describe accurately, ships them from Thane, Maharashtra, and leaves the exaggeration out.
What we are — and what we are not
- We are an online-only retailer. Orders, questions and returns all run through this website and email.
- We are not an optician. We do not test eyesight, we do not fit prescription lenses, and we do not grind lenses to a prescription.
- We are not an authorised dealer for any international eyewear label. Everything here is sold under our own name, Eyewear Cafe.
- We do not have a showroom you can walk into. There is no trial counter, so we keep the return window open instead.
- We do not publish customer ratings, because we have not collected any we can stand behind. When we have real ones, they will appear with the order they came from.
How we choose what to stock
Frame first
A frame has to sit without pinching at the temples and without sliding at the nose bridge. Anything that fails that in ordinary wear does not stay in the catalogue.
Lens claims we can repeat
Where a lens is described as UV400 or blue-light filtering, that is what the supplier states for that lens. We repeat it; we do not upgrade it into medical language.
A price that matches the object
These are ready-made frames in the ₹600 to ₹2,000 band. They are priced as ready-made frames, not as designer eyewear.
Buying from us
We accept UPI and Cash on Delivery — nothing else, and no card details are ever collected on this site. Free shipping on orders of ₹699 and above; a flat ₹49 applies below that. Orders leave Thane, Maharashtra within 1–2 business days and typically arrive in 3–9 business days. If a pair is wrong for you, you have 7 days from delivery to start a return.
