Frequently asked questions

The questions we actually get, answered with the same numbers our checkout uses.

Ordering & payment

How can I pay?

UPI or Cash on Delivery. Those are the only two methods on this site. We do not accept credit cards, debit cards, net banking, wallets or international payment services, and no card details are collected anywhere on eyewearcafe.shop.

Is there an extra charge for Cash on Delivery?

No. COD costs the same as paying by UPI.

Is GST or any tax added at checkout?

Are you registered for GST?
No. GST registration is not applicable to this business at present, so GST is not charged separately on your order and we cannot issue a GST tax invoice bearing a GSTIN. An order invoice is included with the parcel; it is not a GST tax invoice.

Shipping & delivery

What does shipping cost?

Free shipping on orders of ₹699 and above; a flat ₹49 applies below that.

How long will it take?

Handling is 1–2 business days, then 2–4 business days in transit to metro cities and 4–7 business days elsewhere — 3–9 business days in total from Thane, Maharashtra.

Do you ship outside India?

No. We deliver within India only.

Can I change my delivery address after ordering?

Only before dispatch. Once the courier has the parcel we cannot redirect it.

Returns & refunds

How long do I have to return a pair?

7 days from delivery. Email [email protected] with your order number to start.

My parcel arrived damaged. What do I do?

Send us a continuous unboxing video — started before the tape is cut — within 48 hours. That video is what lets us approve a replacement or a full refund straight away.

When will I get my money back?

Within 5–7 business days of the returned pair passing inspection. There is no restocking fee.

Is there a warranty on the frames?

No. We do not offer a six-month or manufacturer warranty, and we would rather say so than imply one. What we do offer is a 7 days return window and free replacement of anything that arrives damaged, defective or wrong.

Choosing eyewear

Can I order prescription lenses?

No. We sell ready-made eyewear only — sunglasses, blue-light glasses, ready-made reading glasses and clear-lens frames. We do not test eyesight and we do not fit prescription lenses. For a prescription, see a qualified optometrist.

What does “UV400” mean on your sunglasses?

It is the supplier’s specification that the lens blocks ultraviolet light up to 400 nanometres, which covers UVA and UVB. We repeat the specification for the lens; we do not test lenses ourselves.

Do blue-light glasses fix eye strain?

They filter part of the blue light from a screen, and many people find long screen sessions more comfortable with them. We will not tell you they cure eye strain — screen distance, breaks and lighting matter at least as much.

How do I pick a reading strength?

Every pack states its magnification, for example +1.00 to +4.00. If you already use readers, order the strength you use now. If you have never used them, an optometrist’s advice is worth more than our guess.

Can I try a frame before buying?

Not in person — we are online-only and have no showroom. That is exactly why the return window exists.

How should I care for the frames?

Rinse dust off before wiping, use the cloth supplied, and store the pair in its case. Paper towels and shirt cuffs are what put fine scratches on a lens.
